What type of hair is used in Modern Willow Extensions?

All of our extensions are made from 100% Russian human hair. This premium quality hair is known for its softness, durability, and natural movement.

 

What is a Double Genius Weft?

Our Double Genius Wefts are thin, flat-track wefts that are 50 grams each and just under 13 inches wide. They’re designed for seamless blending, easy stacking, and a lightweight feel without sacrificing fullness.

 

What lengths are available?

We currently offer wefts in 18-inch and 22-inch lengths.

 

Can I color or tone the extensions?

Yes, our 100% Russian human hair can be professionally toned or colored. However, we always recommend consulting with a licensed stylist, and performing a strand test first.

Please note: Any chemical processing is done at your own risk and may affect the lifespan of the hair.

 

How many wefts do I need for a full head?

This varies depending on your desired volume, but here are general guidelines:

  • Natural fullness: 3–4 wefts (150–200g)

  • Full glam volume: 4–6 wefts (200–300g)

Always consult with your stylist to determine what’s best for your hair type and goals.

 

How long do the extensions last?

With proper care and maintenance, your Modern Willow Extensions can last 6–12+ months. Longevity depends on daily care, product usage, and styling habits.

 

How should I care for my wefts?

  • Use sulfate-free products only

  • Avoid excessive heat and always apply a heat protectant

  • Brush extensions gently and regularly with an extension-safe brush

  • Never sleep with wet hair — braid or wrap it instead

  • Avoid sunscreens containing avobenzone, which may discolor light extensions

 

Do you accept returns or exchanges?

Due to hygiene standards and the nature of our product, all sales are final. Please refer to our Terms, Policies & Care Safety page for more details.

 

What if I have an allergic reaction or sensitivity?

While rare, allergic reactions to coatings or processing agents can occur. We recommend a patch or strand test prior to full installation. Modern Willow Extensions is not responsible for allergic reactions or misuse of product.
